The information display inside the bis was suggesting a rather odd route for today...

A blog has been hotlinking one of the pictures of my old blog. Hotlinking means that the picture was all the time on my server, not on theirs. Of course I was not asked before, no appropiate credit is given and I payed for the traffic on my domain.










I have contacted them to negotiate a retroactive aquisition of a license to use my picture. We shall see how that is going to work out. In meantime, since my old blog was deleted including that picture, I uploaded a new picture, so that the article is still complete.



I have been tempted to use something really more provoking.

Finally I got the new card from my bank. The old one was still working, but had me worry the past months that this would suddenly be over.

Am I wrong or have the mosquitoes increased in size this year here in Tübingen? At least they are easier to get caught - with the camera as well as the swatter (in German: Fliegenklatsche).

I have found some history while cleaning up my room. I really had no idea that I still have some of these old floppy disks hidden away in my room. When I started with computers, these kind of disks were already being less used in favor of their smaller, yet bigger successor.

But now the big question is: What shall I do with these? True, I could just throw them away, after all, I do not even have a drive to read these anymore. (Though I am sure I can find some at my university, considering what is stored there in those basements...). But the nerd in me is wondering: Are there any fun things to with these nowadays. Any smart/stupid/silly hacks? Or shall I keep them to show them to my kids one day?
